Antoni Gaudi designs

Antoni Gaudi is not only famous for the Sagrada Familia. He also designed many other houses, such as Casa Batlo, pictured below and, indeed, an entire neighbourhood in Barcelona.

Park Guell was envisaged as a residential project for luxury homes, however it was transformed into a public park after the housing project failed. It covers an area of 19 hectares and is celebrated for its integration of nature and architecture.

Viaducts, porticos and pathways use caternary arches and naturalistic forms to blend architecture and art seamlessly with nature. It takes several hours to walk the paths, climb the many, many stairs and explore all the gems Park Guell has to offer.
